Adventure Retreats

Ideal for: Families, Couples and Children       |       Ages: All Ages       |       Dates: Year Round

Come together, by getting lost in the right direction.

Leave the road behind and take the trails.

Want to do something different as a family? Join us for an all-inclusive Family Camp weekend in the wild and beautiful Texas hill country where you will experience life change together and create memories through high adventure activities and intentional family time with a Christ-centered focus. Camp Eagle offers a variety of themed family weekends throughout the year.

Adventure is the best kind of family bonding.

Whether it’s a much-needed getaway for your immediate family, or you’re planning a milestone reunion, we are all about families growing together and making memories through exciting outdoor adventures and experiential learning. When they spend time in nature playing and overcoming challenges – they grow closer and learn new things about each other. By infusing the camp experience with Biblical truths, real relationships emerge and adventures become life lessons that provide opportunities for spiritual growth. Camp may end, but the wealth of knowledge they gain can impact their lives and communities forever.

Father & Son

Dates: February 8th – 10th, 2019  |  Ages: 8 – 18

The Camp Eagle Father Son weekend is designed for you to leave distractions and worries behind so that you can grow closer to the Lord and your son. Feedback from last year has lead us to create a new two-track system this year. You’ll sign up for either the Adventure or Base Camp weekend. Both tracks will be the same dates, experience the same spiritual leadership & teaching in the mornings, and share meals together. The rest of the day will be spent separately, either doing adventure activities or base camp activities. Not sure which to pick? Here is some help:

Adventure Track: Feb 8-10, 2019. Designed for older son’s (~13 and older) and those wishing to walk farther and go higher on the Camp Eagle activities. If you and your son are in a place where you are wanting to stretch yourselves physically and relationally, this is your track!

Base Camp Track: Feb 8-10, 2019. Designed for younger sons (~12 and younger) and those wanting or needing more relaxation than adventure. We’ll still be doing cool activities, but they’ll be appropriate for a younger crowd and nearer to main camp.

Plan on arriving between 7 and 8 pm on February 8. Departure will be around 10am on Sunday unless you partake in the optional Zip 3000. Housing will be in our bunk style rooms that you’ll share with other father’s and son’s. Upgrade to hotel style is available. 25% discount for those who tent camp.

Dorm-style lodging is standard, with fathers and sons bunking together with other father son pairs. Please email Grable Walls to learn more about our limited hotel-style lodging, which is available for an additional fee.

Fall Family Camp

Dates: November 9th – 11th, 2018  |  Ages: 8 – 18

Come join us for a fall family reunion at Camp Eagle! Take time to focus on developing and implementing Christian family values as a family in today’s changing world. We’ll gather together with an intentional focus on building community with each other as families and all full-time Camp Eagle staff who live here year round. There will be a family barbecue, get to know you games, family sports, and, of course, Camp Eagle’s top notch outdoor adventure activities. Families of all kinds are welcome, and extended family too!
From our family to yours, the schedule is posted below.

Dorm-style lodging is standard, with each family in a room to themselves. Please email Bethany Thomas to learn more about our limited hotel-style lodging, which is available for an additional fee.

Winter Family Camp

Dates: January 25th – 27th, 2019  |  Ages: 8 – 18

We will be exploring the stories that we are living, who we are living them for, and who we should be living them for through group sessions, activity experiences, and family fun.

Dorm-style lodging is standard, with each family in a room to themselves. Please email Kyle Swetlishnoff to learn more about our limited hotel-style lodging, which is available for an additional fee.

25% Discount for families who choose to stay in screen shelters or tent camp.

Couples Retreat

Dates: February 15th – 17th, 2018  |  Ages: 18 & Up

The formal retreat experience and curriculum will wrap up on Sunday afternoon, but you may stay through Monday at 3pm for an additional fee.

Escape into the wilderness for a relaxing weekend with your spouse. Whether you’ve been married one month or 50 years, this retreat is perfect for you! Enjoy an opportunity to rejuvenate your marriage and spend some quality time as a couple. We pray that this experience will be a turning point in your marriage!

Waterfront Tower

Our flagship feature is a 5 level treehouse. Take a drop down one of four super slides or have gallons of fun in any of our waterfront activities.

Bomb the Blob!

Climb. Leap! Plop! Launch! Whoa! Splash! Climb. Leap! Plop! Launch! Whoa! Splash! Repeat again and again until we wear 'em out.

Rock Climbing

If you're a thrill seeker who'd like to feel a little "boulder", we accommodate all skill levels in many different climbing styles. For those about to rock, we salute you!

Wilderness Hiking

There's adventure in each breath and every step. Let your wanderlust take over and experience spectacular vistas across miles of pristine mountain trails.

Scooters

Fuzzy wristbands, Keds, and sliding sideways on a Big Wheel made for some serious street cred back in the day. Well, we've amped it up.

Drift Ball

It's like a cross between basketball, soccer, hockey, polo and demolition derby on our awesome drift trikes. Hard to explain. Amazing to play. Try it.

Mountain Bikes

Hop on and go for a spin that will leave you breathless in more ways than one. When you experience a mountainside ride, you'll know what we mean.

Underground Maze

Praesent blandit laoreet nibh. Praesent porttitor, nulla vitae posuere iaculis, arcu nisl dignissim dolor, a pretium mi sem ut ipsum. Pellentesque posuere. Praesent ac massa at ligula laoreet iaculis. Class aptent taciti sociosqu ad litora torquent per conubia nostra, per inceptos hymenaeos.

Terrain Park

Take a chain-grinding, quad-shredding lap or two around our wicked dirt tracks, bust out a few of those moves you practiced, and soar to glory.

Ore Chute Slide

Praesent blandit laoreet nibh. Praesent porttitor, nulla vitae posuere iaculis, arcu nisl dignissim dolor, a pretium mi sem ut ipsum. Pellentesque posuere. Praesent ac massa at ligula laoreet iaculis. Class aptent taciti sociosqu ad litora torquent per conubia nostra, per inceptos hymenaeos.

Super Swing

Hey camper, camper. Hey camper, camper. Swing! Harness up and take a big leap of faith. Only at Glorieta can kids have this much fun in church.

Arrow TAG

We are hunters, and adventure is our game. We are unstoppable, and you are our prey. Take aim and bring 'em down. Before they get you!

Hiking

Thousands of acres and miles of trails through God's beautiful creation. Explore the trails and experience vistas that will take your breath away.

Field Games

Guaranteed to break the ice. This is camp-olympics! From scavenger hunts to more inventive contests, you're sure to make a few new friends along the way.

Ga-Ga Ball

Ga-ga wha? Trust us, it's not for babies. Part dodge ball, part tag and part king of the hill, it takes action to another level. Stay with it. Rule the octagon!

Outdoor Dodgeball

There's nothing like the unmistakable tread of a new red dodgeball. It provides good grip. And a recognizable pattern on the side of your face. Respect the ball!

Kayaking

Suspendisse non nisl sit amet velit hendrerit rutrum. Donec mi odio, faucibus at, scelerisque quis, convallis in, nisi. Suspendisse enim turpis, dictum sed, iaculis a, condimentum nec, nisi. Integer ante arcu, accumsan a, consectetuer eget, posuere ut, mauris. Fusce a quam.

Millhouse Obstacle Course

There's no easing into this, so jump right in! From there, you're climbing through our bouncy crash course. You'll love ducking, diving, and dodging to the end.

Sand Volleyball

Bring it on. Serve it up. Spike, slam, wham, attack - Let your competitive spirit take over. You'll need it. Dig, set, spin, spike! Leave the campfire for day's end.

Rappelling

Your heart pounds as you overcome your nerves and step off the cliff. What were you thinking? Total focus. Step by step. Now you're down, confident. Again!

Basketball

There's nothing better than a game of hoops. Pick up moves with other campers from around the country, or take 'em to school like you do at home.

Disc Golf

To heck with the clubs; grab a disk and join the fun. It's all in your swing... or is it the fling? This is the perfect place to test your skills at a high level.

Camp Store

Make sure everyone knows you were at Camp Eagle and reward yourself with a Camp Eagle souvenir after a day of accomplishments! There’s a plethora of shirts, hats, water bottles, and other cool souvenirs to choose from. The camp store needs to be scheduled in advance of your retreat so we can make sure it’s available and staffed for you.

Coffee Shop

Our coffee shop is a great place to unwind, play games, and build community. Frappes, specialty sodas, ice cream, candy, and other snacks make up the many offerings on our menu. Be sure to schedule the Coffee shop in advance of your retreat so we can make sure it’s available and staffed for you!

Crate Stacking

You've never stacked anything like this. Ever. It takes nerve, balance and a lot of patience to build a tower this high. Stand on top without tumbling for the win.

Eagle Cave

Our guides can lead your group to our actual limestone cave, Eagle Cave, to explore a little-known world down below. If you’re brave enough, squeeze through the cracks to see the elusive second room in the cave.

Shooting Range

Donec elit libero, sodales nec, volutpat a, suscipit non, turpis. Nam ipsum risus, rutrum vitae, vestibulum eu, molestie vel, lacus. Aenean massa. Quisque ut nisi.

Quick Zip

Ut varius tincidunt libero. Vestibulum ante ipsum primis in faucibus orci luctus et ultrices posuere cubilia Curae; Fusce id purus. Vivamus aliquet elit ac nisl. Donec posuere vulputate arcu. Etiam imperdiet imperdiet orci.

Bouldering Wall

Brand new to rock climbing? These colorful blocks are just right for learning the basics and getting the 'hang' of climbing without getting too far off the ground.

Hammock Hang Time

There are plenty of places around camp to relax. Stake a claim at one of the many hammocks that are open for grabs. Breath in the fresh air. Now exhale.

Zip 3K

Our dual line tour features FIVE sections of fast-moving zip lines stretched high above the alpine floor. Each section give you a different experience. Bring a friend!

Zip 850

This is like a normal zip line, only a little more loosy-goosey, with special tethers that let you drift to the ground like a parachuter coming in for a landing.

Treehouse Challenge Course

Quietly nestled in the pines is a diabolical treehouse designed to test both your mental and physical abilities. Only the best problem solvers will prevail!

Waterfront

Swim in our spring-fed Nueces river and experience the blob, our waterslides, zip line, and much more. A fun reprieve on a hot afternoon! Lifeguards are required for all waterfront activities.

Waterfront Decks

Water you waiting for? Take a dip and a drop from any one of our numerous decks rigged with ropes, slides, blobs and more. Look out below, and bombs away!

Waterslides

In hac habitasse platea dictumst. Nam adipiscing. Etiam feugiat lorem non metus. Cras dapibus. Etiam sollicitudin, ipsum eu pulvinar rutrum, tellus ipsum laoreet sapien, quis venenatis ante odio sit amet eros.

Campouts

Is camp not "camp" enough for you? We've got just the thing. It's authentic camping in real wilderness surroundings. The stars never looked prettier.
